Cookie notice

As few cookies as possible.
No advertising trackers.

Three cookies for the site to work, one privacy-respecting analytics tool that sets none. No Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no cross-site tracking.

§ I

Our approach

We use as few cookies as possible. We do not run advertising cookies. We do not share your browsing behaviour with third parties. We do not have a Facebook Pixel, a Google Ads tag, or any cross-site tracking script.

The small number of cookies and similar storage we do use are described below. Where consent is required under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (as amended), we ask for it on first visit.

§ II

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to work and do not require consent.

· session_id — short-lived cookie that keeps you logged in to your application portal once accounts are enabled. Expires when you close the browser.

· consent — records your cookie preferences so we do not ask again on every page. Expires after 12 months.

· csrf_token — protects against cross-site request forgery on forms. Expires after the form is submitted or after one hour, whichever is sooner.

§ III

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting alternative to Google Analytics. Plausible:

· Does NOT set any cookies on your device · Does NOT track you across sites · Does NOT store your IP address · Does NOT use any device fingerprinting

It simply counts page visits in aggregate, helping us understand which pages help applicants and donors. Because it sets no cookies, no consent is required.

If you would still prefer not to be counted in our aggregate stats, you can use your browser's Do Not Track setting or block plausible.io.

§ IV

Embedded content

Where we embed content from third parties (for example, a video on our impact page), that third party may set cookies. We use Vimeo's privacy-enhanced embed mode by default, which does not set tracking cookies until you press Play.

We do not embed Facebook, Instagram or TikTok content on this site. Any such links open in a new tab and are governed by those platforms' own cookie policies.

§ V

Managing your preferences

You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by clearing the 'consent' cookie in your browser, which will trigger the consent banner again on your next visit.

You can also block all cookies in your browser settings — the site will continue to work for reading, applying and donating, though you may need to re-enter form information if you reload pages.

§ VI

Changes to this notice

If we add or change a cookie, we will update this page and re-ask for consent where required. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent material change.
